Will Ian Anderson have more or less than 4.5 Strikeouts

What is up Karma Nation! Welcome back to another edition of my MLB Pitching Props Article. Last week we hit a bump in the road attacking Tanner Houck over 5.5 Ks for plus money against the Boston Red Sox. As always, I start my research out by checking the FREE Projections Portal on DFSkarma.com. This is one of the best FREE tools on the market to help with not only DFS but player props as well.  Although, if you are looking for ease of mind to have us compare the books to our projections check out our premium tools. Tonight’s prop will be targeting an east coast team traveling to the west, as the Indians take on the Giants on the road. This will be a battle between Ian Anderson and Logan Webb.

Checking the live trends tool on BetKarma.com, it looks like neither team’s run total has too changed much. There is not much line movement so far throughout the day just a few points leaning towards the Giants.

Ian Anderson Over 4.5 Ks -115 1.15 units to win 1 unit:

Ian Anderson is coming off a nine-strikeout game but before that, he was struggling immensely. Where he went five straight games under five strikeouts, including two straight games of zero strikeouts. He was still getting his pitch count high outside of one or two of those games, but in two of those five games he got over 90 pitches one over 80, and two over 60. Over that stretch, he had many tough matchups leading to those low numbers. Even with the rough couple of games, Anderson still has a 9 k/9 ratio on the season. If you remove those games his numbers increase up to 9.7 K/9 ratio.

Anderson finds himself in another get-right spot after his previous great game. He starts off the lineup against one of the best hitters that do not strike out. Tommy La Stella only has a K% of 8%, but after that, the rest of the hitters all have over a 20% k% against righties to take advantage of. Anderson is coming into the game as a better pitcher against lefties compared to righties. Luckily for him, he gets a heavy leftie lineup tonight as he takes on the Giants who feature five lefties in the line. Another plus he has going for him tonight is that he is a heavy change-up pitcher, he is going up against a team that struggles against change-ups. They feature multiple batters with high whiff percentages. As well as a team that struggles with curveballs. This line also features batters that struggle with curveballs. So, expect another great game from Anderson tonight.

According to our Prop Predictor, this is the highest graded prop bet for tonight.
